Einstein On The Beach
Even though no corps has really announced their shows yet, and I have no idea how good any of them are going to be, I'll go ahead and throw in my 0.02 as well. 1) BD 2) Cavies 3) Phantom 4) Cadets 5) SCV 6) Bluecoats 7) Carolina Crown 8) Madison Scouts 9) Blue Knights 10) Glassmen 11) Colts 12) Spirit 13) Blue Stars 14) Troopers 15) Boston 16) Southwind 17) The Magic
oldbandguy
It appears a number of folks think Madison may not be in finals in '07. I would agree that maybe the two biggest question marks going into the '07 season will be Madison and Crossmen. I personally see the changes for the Crossmen as being very good for the corps, especially the move to Texas. I have a feeling their audition numbers are going to be pretty significant. With Madison, I think their '07 success may very well be determined by how many of the Scout vets decide to return. That question should be answered next month. They've also got to replace one of the most outsanding design/instructional teams in DCI. Here's one fan that's hoping for nothing but great things for Madison. They've also got to replace one of the most outsanding design/instructional teams in DCI. Here's one fan that's hoping for nothing but great things for Madison. I would add BAC as a big question mark as well. Will the addition of the guard caption head that came from Crown (remember the Medusa and Industry shows, er debacles?), Rossander on drill (can he write something that fits the music, as opposed to something just too difficult to clean?), etc. I'd LOVE to be proved wrong, but it seems the changes going on in Boston, Madison and Crossmen are likely to hurt them in the short-term (but hopefully not the long term). Unrelated to the post above, I'm surprised by all the folks that seem the think BK will slide this year. They have been climbing up the ranks and improving every year for the past several years and moved up to 7th last year. The design team and staff there seem to know what they are doing, and if they continue the trend, why would so many people assume a drop? That baffles me. toddschultz
Ok....here's mine (with many peoples responses already in place, but feel free to tell me that I am an idiot still) 1. Phantom Regiment-"they're due" 2. Madison Scouts-"Dude, how can you say that, they lost so many wonderful people" 3. Blue Devils-"They will be higher" 4. Cavaliers-"You can't put them that low, they're too good!" 5. Cadets-"Dude, have you heard their concept, it's so freakin' cool" 6. SCV-"Not this low with the music of Respighi and Ravel" 7. Crown-"I'd say this is about right" 8. BAC-"I think they will be higher with those gods they have hired" 9. Glassmen-"No way will they be above the glassmen" 10. Spirit-"I think they will be about here" 11. Bluecoats-"no way man, not after how high they were in 2006, you must be some sort of idiot" 12. Colts-"There are other corps that will be higher than them" Ok, i've put what I feel most people will say negative about what I wrote, now write more rants about how much of an idiot I am!
