Suncoast deserves the nod on the Countdown for their overall contribution to the activity. Was torn between 84 and 85 but I marched in 84 so they got the nod. 1986 Blue Devils One of DCI's masterpieces. 1987 Garfield Cadets and Santa Clara Vanguard Both shows are acclaimed as one of the very best from each of these corps. Appalachian Spring and Russian Christmas Music... classic's indeed. 1995 Madison Scouts I've only heard the recording but I get chicken-skin everytime as the crowd goes ballistic at the end. 2000 The Cavaliers This first Championship show of the "5 of 7". Why this one? The music and visual are both haunting and beautiful. 2006 Phantom Regiment and Carolina Crown Faust is one of my favorites from last year and ranks up high on my All-Time list. Carolina Crown... speaks for itself, just a ball-buster music book. LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! No repeaters on my list (saw the last two CC's and want something new) and I did not split my vote even though this list could be filled with multiple great shows by many great corps out there.
