Walter
This how I see it from the Great White North !!My top twelve: 1. Santa Clara Vanguard 2. Phantom Regiment 3. Bluecoats 4. Blue Devils 5. THE Cadets 6. Madison Scouts 7. Carolina Crown 8. Boston Crusaders 9. Glassmen 10. Blue Knights 11. Blue Stars !! 12. TROOPERS !!!! And you're sure there'll be no place in the top12 for the Cavaliers this year? I think that would be record breaking drop, from first to 13+. Don't think it'll happen. I like the fact you put Blue Stars in top 12 position :) Due to the brain fart that I expereinced yesterday, I must rethink this BOLD prediction. My apologies to the Cavaliers. 1. Santa Clara Vanguard 2. Phantom Regiment 3. Cavaliers 4. Bluecoats 4. Blue Devils 6 The Cadets 7. Madison Scouts 8. Carolina Crown 9. Boston Crusaders 10. Blue Knights 11. Blue Stars 12. TROOPERS !!!! 13. Glassmen A very close fight between Glassmen and The Troopers !!! Who knows, anything can happen !!!!

jjeffeory
I spent two weeks, from May 26th thru this past Sunday, on the ultimate drum corps roadtrip: spring training camp visits!! I drove over 9,000 miles and loved every minute of it. I did the same thing many years ago with the baseball spring training camps when most were in Florida. So, this year, since I no longer have any family around, I figured this was a great way to get a "sneak peak" at the corps.Personally, based on what I saw, most of the corps are better this year than last. But a few are just WOW! compared to last year. You've got my attention. I've only seen Madison and Phantom and Capitol Sound live so far. Do tell us more though! Who is WOW. I too think everyone is going to be great.

Who is WOW. I too think everyone is going to be great. The WOWS! for me were: - Cadets, particularly the percussion. I have never seen a line so ready for August....and it was only June. The horns have that Gino sound again, so they'll be fighting for top brass. - Crown. The sound that hornline is producing is amazing, very comparable to Star in their heyday. If they can pull the whole package together as well as the brass, they could scare some of the longtime top 4 or 5 corps. - Blue Stars. This corps has taken a huge leap forward, particularly in the area of visual. Last year every one complained they had a basic drill. This year they MOVE. The show is a huge step up for them and they are performing it better than they did in July last year. This one will be fun to watch. DCfan48060
2. Cavaliers (their show doesn't have the advantage of an all encompassing theme; Ex. "Machine", "Bond", "Frameworks".... remember "My Kind of Town"?!) Yeah I do remember...it was awesome
