TP stands for tour premiere and Academy came out like a week and a half after everyone else hence the higher score. The first show last year was on 6/17. Interesting to see some prediction having alot of TP corps in the 70s. CrownBariDad Posted June 23, 2016 Share Posted June 23, 2016 I'm very bad at predictions except for this one: it's going to be an interesting battle between Pacific Crest and Mandarins this year, according to what's been posted here. It looks like it's about 50-50 on who will win their first show on Friday. You know who I'm pulling for (see sig block), but I always enjoy what Mandarins puts on the field. Theoretically, it means the corps had more time to prepare and their performances should be better they might have been with an earlier "first show". It could also mean that they took their time and aren't any better. But, ultimately, it may be up to what the judges decide is the baseline they want to start off the season with, regardless of the performance level.
