ChuckH
Hm. No Wyoming or Colorado camps this year? That post actually just made me check to see whether or not they'd relocated. (Still based in Caspar, judging from what I see.)
Arrowmarcher
I had Will Wells as a tech all three years I marched Stars. He is an amazing, gifted teacher who translates positivity incredibly well. He'll be quite the asset to the organization. I marched with Zack Crissman two years and he teched my ageout year (doing brass and vis duties might I add). He's a no BS kind of guy. Hugely knowledgable and very talented. The Troopers got two great pick ups in my mind.
2muchcoffeeman
It appears Troop is dead serious about its visual program. Last week they brought in Michael Raiford as visual coordinator, and today they've announced two high-octane color guard appointments: Adam Dalton as CG designer, and Nick Bledsoe as CG manager.

TerriTroop
Hm. No Wyoming or Colorado camps this year? That post actually just made me check to see whether or not they'd relocated. (Still based in Caspar, judging from what I see.) The corps has it's offices and bingo hall in Casper. In my opinion, the camps reflect the desire to be consistently in a location where weather and facilities are most conducive to strong off-season work, and are relatively easy to get to (major airport nearby, for example). I don't know that for sure, but it's my educated guess. The corps does have well-established ties to Wyoming music education and marching arts. 2muchcoffeeman
Troop wraps up the on-the-field visual team into a neat package with this post of their staff lineup on the corps website. Some of it is news already announced -- Bob Barfield as visual caption head -- and some of it contains new faces. The lineup: Barb Barfield -- Caption head Christopher Scott Turner -- tech Courtlon Cochran -- tech Zack Crissman -- tech Will Wells -- tech James Lazaro -- tech Jeffrey Stracke -- tech All of them have solid resumes, though I got a kick out of Will Wells' CV: A studio drummer with a journalism degree who has done some arranging for a Lithuanian professional basketball team, and who marched five seasons on baritone and tuba with Bluecoats.
