BRASSO
I would have to clear my throat when I think of the Troopers ever contemplating yodeling in their show. Heck, my wife might have to clear out my tool box from any contemplation of me piercing my eardrums with a high speed drill. HornTeacher
the only vocals I want to hear would be "yippie-ki-yay!!!" Wow!!! Troopers meets John McClane. Talk about your bada## moments!!!!
2muchcoffeeman
Troopers keep reloading. News from the website today is that Paul Rennick is back as percussion arranger and supervisor. New to Troopercussion is Dan Allen as battery coordinator, and Jon Anderson as battery specialist. Allen won a ring, and a Sanford, in 2008 as section leader at Phantom (under Rennick's instruction). He has taught at BK, SCV, Crossmen, Phantom, and elsewhere. Anderson, too, marched under Rennick at Phantom, and has taught at BAC. Is it June yet? Ghost
hot ####, cant wait to see how this battery is going to stack up. If their auditions garner the talent, they might move up in percussion.

Who wouldn't want to play Rennick beats and learn from that staff? This could be a gateway to making the Vanguard line.

I think the Troopers are re-positioning themselves as a "destination" drum corps not merely the JV for someone else's Varsity squad.

This has already been happening for the last three years. The multi year battery vet at Troopers is the exception not the norm.

Understood, but if people want to gain experience to make a traditional top 5 corps then this could be better than and open class corps. Any experience is good experience though. The more corps fighting for the top 12 the better.

I understand they've even had a couple of percussion vets return after being offered spots with a top 5 line.
