  2. I cherish and remember as a spectator and performer in the 60's the packed Hershey Stadium shows, the Hershey Show TV commericals, and the 18 corps on the schedule during the season.
  3. Thanks Gary....missed you also very much this season...always good to see you and the Empire Statesmen Honor Guard.....like Dave said, you folks are a class act both on and off the field....hope our paths cross in the future. Congrats to you and your guard!!
  4. Well done Capt. Bill and the Reading Buccaneer Honor Guard!!!
  5. Stayed at the Hampton/Glen Burnie for the Annapolis Service Academy DC Show this past fall. Usual complimentary hot breakfast; numerous shopping and eating establishments within walking distance on the Ritchie HW strip; good travels back and forth for the weekend; VERY reasonable rates; my wife would stay there again.
  6. A wonderful evening in Annapolis: visitor friendly, good shopping, good dining, good lodging, good show, good stadium-easy access, good fellowship with friends and fellow Bucs, and an incredible announcer. Well done Annapolis!
  7. I had the opportunity to chat with Larry last evening following the Interservice Academy D & B Competition in Annapolis where he served as Chief Judge- to thank him for his service, to congratulate him on his outstanding tenure, and to wish him well in the future. I always appreciated his prescence as I stepped onto the field of competition.
  8. When the Bucs prepared for retreat at Lewisburg, we were alongside of MBI. I met Laura of the color guard. At Rochester when the corps merged to troop the stands, we were again alongside of MBI. There was Laura. What a moment for us to treasure!!
  9. Absolutely splendid!! I just want to watch it over and over. Thank You.
  10. Agree...Awesome event....done four of them...regretfully, not this year.
  11. Happy New Year to my GCS friends!! Wishing you the best in 2011. Hope our paths cross.
  12. Last year was my fourth with my family. Walking the Golden Gate Bridge, trolley touring the city, driving to see koalas at the zoo, boat touring the bay, eating at Pat's Cafe, practicing at site X, and parading with my Renegades friends in downtown SF. It's an affair to remember. We cherish these memories. THANKS Renegades!
  13. 1966 with the Reading Buccaneers - all male colorguard.
  14. Thanks Bob, I'm in...Coming out!!!!! Paul, C'om down!!
  15. Check your mail MSJ Snare. Just a couple of questions. Need to make a decision.
  16. I got my DVD at least a week ago. Buccaneers final only.
  17. Tom's not kidding about bringing another suitcase for the beads!! My wife and I treasure the weekend fellowship with GCS at the Mardi Gras Galveston two years ago. We got beads galore and we did have a ball. Such decisions to make: San Francisco CNY Parade-did that last year: GCS New Orleans Mardi Gras: or MSJ Las Vegas???? Can't do them all. Hummmmm?
  18. Got my DVD today, Buccaneers final only. I'm pleased.
  19. The funniest moment for me at a DCA championship has to be in 2004 at Scranton Lackawanna Stadium. Following the finals my wife repeatedly tried to tell me something important but I repeatedly had to put her off: first because I needed to participate with the corps playing a concert in the parking lot: then because I needed to change my clothes and put my equipment into the truck; then because we got interrupted by farewells, hugs and chats from corps members; and finally because we had to search for my gloves, gauntlets, and hat that fell from my car roof that I forgot to remove as we left the parking lot. Finally I asked her what was it she wanted to tell me. She replied that it's not really important. I won the 50/50 tonight and I have the $1800.00 in cash in my purse. What I said!!!!!! Why didn't you tell me.
  20. The top 6 corps in open class represented a different state. Don't believe that has happened before.
