  1. My usual suggestions for Regiment: Return to the Winter Palace A Muse Made of Fire - Music inspired by Shakespeare Requiem--drawing from multiple works; Mozart, Verdi, Berlioz, etc. (though really, they should be in the old all-black unis for this one)
  2. My wife marched Mello with the Uof Alabama MDB. We were watching finals (91?, 92?) on TV and she was just stunned at Star's mellos.
  3. blooomom-- Thanks for the update, and the classy post, particularly in response to some not-so-classy ones. Best of luck to Ashlee for the rest of the season.
  4. Wonderful story. The only way it could have been better is if she was playing a solo in Legend og the One-Eyed Sailor. ;)
  5. The evidence doesn't support your claim, unless the Jupiter horns are somehow responsible for the low visual scores. Also, you say that they changed everything, yet you only single out the horns as being responsible.
  6. I'd really like to know what Jim Ott could do with some of the current hornlines... Jim Ott + Regiment + Fire of Eternal Glory Jim Ott + Cadets + Make Our Garden Grow ...well, you get the idea.
  7. If half of what Dennis Dodd writes makes sense, then he's batting way above his average.
  8. No, the entire hornline is 72 tubas. The opener is Flight of the Bumblebee.
  9. This thread is totally pointless without pictures.
  10. My problem is that I can't see a drum corps wearing khaki and not think of the 27th Lancers, whose khaki uniform totally rocked.
  11. PR and the Winter Palace Honorable mention to BC2000
  12. Gotta go w/ SCV 85 (though I liked the percussion better in 86).
  13. I think the economic pressures would be better addressed by breaking the season up into a regional tour folllowed by a national tour.
  14. Spirit 79 & 80.All else pales in comparison--though Madison can still bring it.
  15. I'd lose the period. It doesn't add anything stylistically. As for size, 20x30 is a pretty traditional size for the posters you see in Wal Mart or Spencers. As to price, a similar poster for a broadway show, printed on heavy gloss paper, is probably gonna run ~$15-$20 range,
  16. That is a magnificent poster!! If they make it, I'll buy one. And the show title is great as well.
  17. Let's face it--all of PR 2005 was a pit feature.
  18. Since we are talking about SIMPLE... PR 2008--After the utter chaos, the battle is won, and the hornline forms a giant block and simply marches away. Also, during the drum break in 2005 PR there's a sequence w/ a rotating and shifting block that just looks cool.
  19. You can hear a decent amount on the APDs, but whoever mixed the DVDs must have had an ear infection that day, cause the battery sounds like they're outside the stadium or something.
