  1. 1980. For no other reason than 27 Lancers color guard. Everything else is lagniappe.
  2. I heard it had somthing to do with Jim Jones. And a goat.
  3. How about something about 1979 when 1/4 of the top 12 played the same soneg (Children of Sanchez)
  4. I thought Jim Ott was the arranger for BD in 76. Just out of curiosity, am I correct?
  5. 1965 Chicago Royal Aires 1970 SCV 1976 Blue Devils 1984 Garfield 1993 Star
  6. W/ a special appearance by Jonathon Livingston Seagull. (just for the 70's crowd)
  7. Actually, the French military is quite competant. The problem is that their political leadership often puts them in a tight spot.
  8. I think that may be one of the holes from the overage guyes.
  9. I just hope that they get a huge attendance at auditions.
  10. 2005 Anaheim 74 Madison 75 BD 76 (2 Bonnie Ott solos; North tenors!) 27 Lancers 80 (Best. Color. Guard. Ever.) Spirit 80 SCV 89 (Phantom w/ 2 overage holes) VK 92 (Shark!) nuff said.
  11. Ok, here I go again. Overage member (or was it overage members)
  12. Sky Ryders went from KS to TX in early 90's and folded soon thereafter (but IIRC made finals in '91 in Dallas IIRC while being from TX, obviously before they folded) Southwind moved from AL to KY in (I think) late 90's during an inactive period. Crossmen moved a few times from Philly to the Deleware side of the river and back. Kiwanas Kavaliers changed countries by moving to FL.
  13. Does anyone know the Judging panel for prelims and finals? IIRC, many corps back than had judges that they believed were 'out to get them'. Like Sandra Opie and the Cavies.
  14. True - that is why the data is averaged, grouped, or whatever. If everyone is traveling 8500 miles then corps HQ might need to relocate...
  15. The Bears bring in entertainment $$ that offset their expenses - by a wide margine I suspect. They also bring in $$ to the city of Chiacago.
  16. Data like 3 members, 25 miles 47 members, 26-50 miles 33 members 51-100 miles Or whatever distance breakdown makes sense with your data set I understand that some percentage from Europe and Japan has been marching since the late 70's, however, I would think it is less than 5% of any one corps (w/ exception of Yamato (or whoever that is that has camps in Japan and CA and merges it together in June))
