Agree with above, Shure SM57's are pretty standard.

I remember watching the pit from Blue Knights in 2002 set up in different formations throughout the show, eventually ending up on the front sideline. Interesting concept, pre-mics.

I really don't think the general public cares if they sound clean or not, and i'm pretty sure the drummers don't either. Though it is a talent show, don't these guys have a new "act" to go with their violin playing every time?

I know they were drummers from RCC/BD... not sure if it was arranged through either of these groups.

Denver @ Invesco was my favorite place from 02 - 08, that stadium is just awesome. Madison close 2nd.

I would say Crown would be another. We had a film crew pretty much the entire tour last summer, creating episodes for the 'CrownCAST'
