Just got back from the show....totally amazing! Loved BAC again, BK had some great drill, LOVED SCV's ENDING, enjoyed PR's mello section, but once again, gotta hand it to the Cream Team. I actually remember hearing one tear in the second section, for about the last 15-20 sec before the jazz park-n-blow. I believe you can hear it in that tweetmic link from DcFr3ak. Anyone else notice that?? Beyond that, GREAT SHOW, and yay for 95.25!!! Who said that BD automatically had the title this year??? .....oh wait, I think I said that myself last week... :thumbup:

Haha Crown is good, but not that good. Maybe another year....

Just got back from the show, and what a show it was! A few quick thoughts: My first time seeing the Bluecoats (and my first time explaining "Blooooo" vs "Booooo" to others in the crowd ), and I loved it! Very imaginative with the uniform changes. Second time seeing the Cavaliers, and I definitely enjoyed it better this time around. HNC was just freakin awesome, very entertaining. Now for the Blue Devils....the demand is very high, they perform very well and are very clean, but overall, to me they're just not as entertaining as HNC. Don't really like the chairs....I think they use them too much. Going back tomorrow (now today) to see everyone else - can't wait!!!

I think they'll peak around the mid-upper 98 range, but they won't break 99.

Haha trust me, it won't stay like this for long...it seems everyone's flip flopping every single competition. It will make for a nail-biting Finals!

Yeah I too was a bit surprised to hear Medea again on the field.....I remember another corps several years ago that tried to pull it off without....much....success...... :worthy: I agree with you on BAC, I was very pleasantly surprised with them the first time I saw them, and I can't wait to see the Scouts and Cavs for the first time this weekend. ROUND ONE: FIGHT!!!! I second that!!!

A 30 piece hornline in the 70s is louder than most hornlines today? Did I <hear> you right? I dont know about you, but lines such as Crown, BD, and Cadets (to name a few) are loud as CRAP. I can't imagine hearing a corps louder than them. Anyways, times change. Look at movies or music, for example. There are untold numbers of classics that are great, sure, but are they better than the new blockbusters and chart toppers coming out today? It's just a different type of "great."

Waaaaaait a minute - does that mean you don't think Crown's show this year is the best EVER?! Why I oughta! It did take me a while to come around on this show personally, much in the same way that their In.trance.it program did, and I do agree that they can still add more to it. I think they're doing a good job to make the theme and storyline more enjoyable to the audience. Did you have any specific thing you'd want to see changed/added? Also, just as an open thought...I'm totally surprised at Phantom this year. I haven't seen them yet (that'll change this weekend), but I just don't understand how they could basically drop of the figurative cliff after last year. I do hope they at least make it back into the top 6.

Wow what change in placements....still some time left for shuffling though. I think BD is gonna peak here soon, leaving room for a few others to come knocking on their door. From what I've been hearing, some of Crown's drill (especially the new ending) is still pretty dirty, which means they can still gain some points just by cleaning the feet/drill. CAN'T WAIT FOR ALLENTOWN!!!

That's probably cause they don't know all the new drill changes yet, and don't wanna take any chances. I sure wouldn't!

I'm hoping its the fact that they still have some dirt to clean (they do a lot of stuff on the ground! ), especially with having a new ending. I will be at Allentown, and I'm again hoping that by then, they'll be back in the top 3. On a side note though, you also have to take into account the rest of the top 6. Even if they're currently 5th, they're keeping company with other VERY talented corps with great shows. So it's not all bad. I think its possible we could have a top 6 above 95 this year...

Sorry, I'm not gonna read every one of these 35 pages, but how did Crown's new ending work out?? Did they just have an off night? I'm wondering why their score went down....(and how SCV got an 18.7 in brass?! )

I think it was BD in 2002 that took about a week off in July and basically reworked their whole show. Not totally unheard of. Good to hear they're working on it.

I've met him before, but we've never marched together. Wow, seems like Crown and SCV are deciding to snuggle up together tonight! :tongue:
