Normally I'm a complete Madison homer but their show design just doesn't cut it. Crossmen all the way.

I've been here 3 years longer than you. I'm not blindly accepting of all the artsy fartsy crap in DCI these days like you are. Enjoy your life on DCP 24/7.

1. Eliminate the stupid "body movement" - it serves no purpose and looks idiotic. 2. No more dancing hornlines and drumlines - leave that crap for the guard. 3. Eliminate synthesizers. 4. Eliminate props. 5. Kill the spandex figure skating costumes.

Always passion for the Scouts. This thread is also full of folks who come in to poke fun and stoke the fire.

It's simple really. Drum Corps has become far less entertaining than it used to be.

The Berry Center in Cypress was pretty nice. I went there twice. It always used to be held at Rice University stadium. For such an expensive school that place is a turd. I saw my first live DCI show in 20 years there in 2005. The Madison Scouts won - Carmen Project. They haven't done that well since unfortunately.

At this point they can make the call immediately after semi's.

Translation: My corps didn't score as high as I thought they should.

Very few legacy kids are marching. There are literally hundreds dancing, prancing, rolling around on the field, oh and playing instruments part of the time.

I feel exactly the same about the direction the Scouts are headed. Having said that - I will not stop donating because as ridiculous as they look the kids in the corps are still getting the life lessons prior Scouts have. I may never watch another DCI show but Madison gets my donation every year as long as they stay on the field.
