  1. The hornline didn't have many age outs this year.
  2. Our hornline uses Kanstul G Bugles.
  3. and now I want Madison to come out west for June. Probably won't be happening, but one can dream.
  4. I sent a message to the DCA Facebook page (after being told by other corps members) asking about bringing instruments to Retreat, whoever runs the facebook page also said that instruments will not be allowed for retreat. Their response was: " the rumor is true... It's due to the Sound Restrictions in the City of Annapolis. "
  5. I was told that the whole corps stepped over the line.
  6. Thank You to the Edge & Empire Statesmen for giving DCA more exposure to the DCI community!
  7. This is the first I've heard of this event, if it is real, it might be a small Impulse ensemble?
  8. I can testify that the Renegades are playing on Kanstul G Bugles. Kanstul is still producing G Bugles, and if you contact them directly, you may be able to convince them to make a 2v or P/R horn for you. Also, if you can find a Used full G hornline, Kanstul can most likely refurbish the horns. I would post in the Marketplace section of DCP about purchasing horns.
  9. I always love Phantom's low brass. Whatever their instrumentation was this year, I like it.
  10. Yes! Unfortunately I wasn't able to watch the stream until the Top 8 came on. They need to make a Fan Network app, or make the stream iOS friendly!
  11. I hope the Bridgemen have a souvie booth set up at DCA so I can buy myself 7 of them! Seriously though, I want some!
  12. A big Thanks to all the members, staff, volunteers, parents, fans, and anyone else who is involved with this crazy activity!
  13. As people stated, things will happen. And then more things and then that one thing that one person said they would do if that one group did that one thing did it.
  14. I paid $17 with a student discount in San Jose, CA at Cinearts Santana Row. No refunds/tickets from my understanding. The theater attendant was really cooperative with the crowd and was a little confused from our drum corps humor. Aside from the satellite feed freezing, I would give the experience 8/10 because of some audio balancing issues (poor placement of mics) and some of the not so best camera work.
  15. I was at Santana Row in San Jose, CA. Mostly a SCV fan base (Santa Clara is literally a block away), I believe I was 1 of 2 people cheering for BD. Lots of sarcasm sparked in the the theater when the stream froze.
  16. Way to go Oregon Crusaders! Was rooting for BDB this season, but after seeing your show, You guys definitely deserve it.
  17. 12. Colt Cadets 75.4 11. Revolution 78.5 10. Raider 82.0 9. Music City 83.85 8. Legends 83.95 7. Gold 84.3 6. Genesis 85.5 5. 7th Regiment 86.35 4. Spartans 91.15 3. Vanguard Cadets 93.8 2. Blue Devils B 93.85 1. Oregon Crusaders 95.25
  18. Here is some audio of the combined hornlines SF Renegades and The Jim Ott Brass Ensemble playing a chord progression, some space chords and the legendary arrangement of Miserlou!
  19. Ahh, I have no idea about used ones, I know when Blue Devils A got their newer SB Horns (in sections), the previous years horns were given to the B Corps (and one of the BDB tuba players said they're waiting for the SB50s). I'm not sure if there are many used SB horns out on the market right now.
  20. Isn't the Hybrid supposed to be a Euphonium with the Size of a Baritone (or slightly larger than a standard Bari). I remember last year at DCI West, they had a King Euph and a SB Hybrid and the difference was there.
