I just got my world class corps, Redcoats, all set up. I have the captions selected and the show schedule completed.

Interesting to see that Statesmen are 1.4 behind Reading! Just curious where Minnesota Brass will come in next weekend...

I don't care who, but someone needs to play some music by Two Steps From Hell. Pick just about any song and you have a kick-### piece of music. Some of my favorites are Norwegian Pirate, Archangel, Armada, Hypnotica (<-- probably would work the best), and SkyWorld. Look any of them up on youtube and you'll know what I mean.

I LOVE big hornlines. The sound they put out is incredible at times. But a small hornline that puts out almost or equal to the sound of the big hornline makes me s*** bricks. Soooooo goood! It says a lot about each individual player!

I LOOOOOVE Narching. Favorite thing to do in the world!! JKJKJKJK not serious xD I misspell things a LOT.

It depends on what the brass caption head thinks. If your caption head doesn't care go for it. If he/she does, well you better start practicing A LOT! When I first got braces, I must have been on my horn at least an hour every day I could. It worked! But the bent mouthpiece might become more vulnerable, so maybe try bending the lead pipe instead of the actual mouthpiece. I know several people from high school who did that for marching band.... Fusion already places like 8th every year so why not? They would be competitive. And if people aren't marching simply because Fusion isn't Open (IMO it shouldn't matter), maybe they'll get more recruits!

I'm going to the DCI show in Rome, NY, simply because it is closest. I'm also in the Empire Statesmen so I'm "going" to around 6-7 DCA shows lol

Yeah they are definitaly too heavy. Yamahas are tons lighter. (haha almost literally )

Last year the last three corps went: Empire Statesmen Bucs Minnesota Brass They actually placed in that order too.

Wow. Being 15, I didn't know there was such a thing as Drum and Baton Corps! From what I've read in this thread, it sounds as if it is rather similar to WGI. Does WGI have routs Drum and Baton Corps??

You see, I voted percussion because of the number of spots open. But with horns, which will always be the "easiest" to get in, it really depends on the corps you are trying tying to get into. If you were to go for horns with Crown, you have a relatively difficult time getting in. Possibly harder than guard. Still not percussion just because of the few spots available.
