  1. He did the SSB at Precision West that year (BD's home show). Star Spangled Banner by Wildabeast71, on Flickr
  2. Trust me. This ain't no Swearingen. The piece is PLC's reflection following a visit to the U.S. (he's a British percussionist).
  3. There's still some Paul Lovatt-Cooper stuff with lethal potential: 1) Breath of Souls 2) Enchanted Kingdom (I've been listening to this....a lot!) 3) Immortal (been mentioned) 4) An Untold Story (Mellophone solo ballad?) 5) Donegal Bay (Euphonium solo ballad?) 6) Fire in the Blood 7) Where Eagles Sing
  4. The way the 49ers have been imploding as of late, there might be a fairly new venue available on a regular basis.
  5. Watched the A-corps a couple times this past weekend since they were close. Yep. Tasty.
  6. Here is Veteran's Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High School in the Fresno/Clovis area of California. The California drum corps competition season starts here with the MidCal Champions Showcase. Schools share their stadiums here (thus the references to Clovis North in this picture).
  7. Here's a small blurb when he returned to Vanguard as program coordinator in 2005. http://www.scvanguard.org/about/news/?uuid=20bb0401-e221-440e-ab36-3bbc64998be7
  8. If you're around Santa Clara on January 24th... http://www.scvanguard.org/about/events/detail.cfm?uuid=c541c599-d778-4c57-b9e0-ca6987802cee
  9. Check Avon HS 2007 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyvZKG4i6Ro&spfreload=10 I wonder if it's been on Crown's shelf for awhile.
  10. Check the interpretation by the Northwestern University SWE with Mallory Thompson. iTMS has it.
  11. I think Bluecoats had someone doing this in the early 90's?
  12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyzWuzW0BMg - CSU, Northridge in 1996. I think I'm still partial to 1992.
  13. Their rehearsal site (Fremont HS in Sunnyvale) is 2 miles down the street - literally - from Apple HQ.
  14. Indeed in Sunnyvale. I work for the district. Their band director is a SCV alum and he was stoked the Crossmen were there. The school has a math teacher who is also a SCV alum that marched the first Scheherazade show. He may be on tour with Phantom to some extent as his younger brother currently marches snare.
  15. Santa Clara Big Band, BDB, & SCVC are the only one's posted at the moment. More to come. 2014 Pacific Procession
  16. Here's the Cory Band doing a classic Blue Devils tune - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqdly0hY1nU
  17. Here's John Wasson's original Bellsong Fantasy (iTunes link). "Festival Fanfare for Christmas" on the same album is his and good too. John used to arrange for the Blue Stars.
