You’re still thinking of the old semifinals format. -

I thought ‘17 had the show and ‘18 had the talent. It’s good to see both meet up this year. -
I’m impressed! Looks like a fun show to perform.

Phyllis Steen. There’s gotta be a drag queen out there somewhere with that moniker. Lol -
The wandering isn’t the issue so much, it’s the lingering. Lol

Blue Knights 2019!

I’m almost certain they started last season with a complete show. The 2 - 3 previous years they caught a lot of flack for not putting a complete show on the field, especially here on dcp. -

No love for Jersey Surf? -
mellophone breakdown - what are the percentages?

I think the fracking is more a result of the close overtone series inherent to the French horn rather than the mouthpiece. I might not have explained that properly, I’m a bassoon player. -
I think there were only four corps that placed below Pioneer. Music City or River City Rhythm would be my guess at corps moving up the most.

Naw, I think your man card gets upgraded to platinum when you have the courage to embrace your emotions.

I was wondering the same. Your word choice is more precise than mine. I was thinking bobble headed. If they don’t sit right while moving it could be a mess. Blue Stars had that problem with their classic asymmetrical helmet.

I have to admit the uniform is kind of cool. The chevron looks like a maul for splitting logs combined with a metal band logo.

Carmina is used again by the mello soloist before the corps comes back with the ending of Fire. -

How about letting Fire resolve the way Shostakovich wrote it. The ending sounds like some of the vocal histrionics you hear on American Idol. -
2019 Music City -- Of Mice & Music

I wasn’t expecting mice. Lol. I thought it was going to be more of a Steinbeck Of Mice and Men vibe. -

The best word I could conjure up to describe his arranging style when it comes to the iconic pieces (New World, Finlandia) is ‘neutered’. I was worried about the same thing happening with FoEG. We’ll find out soon enough. -

I think only #1 applies to ‘89. -
Barb just needs some love. It would be a hoot if some of the Stars went to her house to see if she had any chores or anything that needed doing. They could invite her to dinner at the food truck. Kill her with kindness.

Lol. More like a “look at them” moment.
