  1. Phantom Regiment 1988. The Brass Chorale in Romeo and Juliet. Still one of my favorite all time moments. It just drew you in. So beautiful.
  2. I would add 1975 Santa Clara Vanguard (Hary Janos, Fiddler on the Roof) to the second list. Wonderful, emotional performance that night. And the Drum Line? Holy Mother of God!! :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy:
  3. I agree. Simply put, this is extortion. Nothing less. Hopkins didn't get his way last time he tried this. Now he's threatening to bring DCI down if he and the 7 don't get what they are demanding. Which is nothing short of complete surrender by the other 16 WC Corps and OC Corps who, in George's mind constitute the Great Unwashed.
  4. G7 Statement translated: "Gee. Nice shop you have here. Be a shame if something happened to it."
  5. I like this idea, a lot!! And the timing is good with the Movie out and getting the reviews that it is getting.
  6. I could be happy with the Mahler Symphony #1 "Titan."
  7. I also noticed Forte and Revolution have been pulled off the Open Class Page as well. Not a good sign for them either.
  8. Boy, is that Match running late!! Weather issues in NYC too?
  9. Did they announce scores for the Cadets2 and Hurricanes already? I missed it if they did.
  10. Forecast calls for a 60% chance of PM Thunderstorms tomorrow,
  11. Scores for the Caption Awards are the average of the three nights IIRC.
  12. Yes, it really is. At least this time they didn't leave the kids hung out to dry and they've made arrangements for the age-outs as well. I think or, I hope this is just a bumpy patch for them and they've got their act together.
  13. That's what I was thinking. It would be a great spot for it.
  14. That should be free and open access. Shame that DCI does it that way. If they want people to better understand the hows and whys of shows, it would help to have unfettered access to the rules book.
  15. Looks like a Full House or close to it!! Very Nice!! :worthy: :worthy:
  16. Not nearly as many people on here tonight as last Saturday for Minny. Where is everybody?
  17. I completely agree!! The Yell had its day. Today is not it.
  18. I'm a Liberal, and I take offense to what you wrote. Don't mix politics with simple courtesy. I don't care for Jessica's posts either and I care even less for your very lame attempt at projection.
  19. And since you're not at the show, how exactly would you know this, ROOKIE?
  20. John Wolfrom was one of the best people in the activity. He and his wife Caludette (The Lady) threw thier hearts and souls into Black Watch. Without them I don't know that the Corps would have accomplished what it did especially winning the 1979 DCI Class A Trophy. All of their kids marched with the Corps as well. John and Gary in Percussion, Cindy and Joyce in the Guard. John would eventually become DM for the Corps ( a good one I might add) and Cindy would become Guard Captain (also quite good). He will be missed. The Winter Guard carries on the legacy of the orginization today.
