I haven't been since pre-covid, but back then they were similar to DCI Championship week. Our percussion convention (PASIC) is also that same week in the convention center. Lots of band stuff, percussion, & percussion artist last week. The exhibition hall is really noisy. (Some vendors have sound proof booths.) There are sound restrictions & rules in place, but... 🥁😂

We just had our traditional Veterans Program this week sponsored by our elementary schools. We even had a Coast Guard veteran in the house; they're sometimes overlooked. It was great! I'm just wondering when they'll add the Space Force to the "Armed Forces Salute". Guess we'll need a rewrite. Thank you Veterans for your sacrifice & service to the 'best country' in our little world! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

DCI All-Age Championship finals will be held in Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday morning and afternoon in Indianapolis, prior to the start of the DCI World Championship Finals event. Will I be able to see DCI World Class, Open Class, and All-Age Class corps in the same show? As future schedules are created, the goal is to fully leverage opportunities to showcase a diverse lineup of corps across classes to the greatest degree and as often as possible within the existing parameters of the tour. Additional information will be announced later this summer! In the meantime, make plans to attend DCA and DCI events this season to celebrate the exciting programs and exceptional performances taking place in a stadium near you!

My basic health training comes from watching "Emergency" with Squad 51. Rampart Base always advised start an IV with D5W & Ringers Lactate; transport as soon as possible. Lots of info on that show. ⚕️

They've always told us at training that you can't hurt anyone using the AED. (Easy for them to say...) But I think it basically evaluates what the patient needs, delivers shock if needed, then will tell you to start chest compressions. (Something like that; I'm due for upgraded training.) Just had my wellness clinic at school & my BP was little on the high side. I asked the nurse if a pot of coffee would cause it to run high. She gave me that look & said, ahh, yes...
