I want to know where is DCI in all of this? They should stand up to SCV and say. Hold your horses. I wouldn’t trust a corps that was declared delinquent 2 times less than a month ago. Also last year all signs pointed to SCV competing and then after making money off of auditions, they said “welp, we aren’t competing”

Maybe a compromise would be corps-to-corps. That way groups like Crown dont have to add woodwinds but corps such as cavaliers (I’ve heard their name thrown around in the woodwind discussion), troopers, or anyone else can choose if they want to,

(Full disclosure, yes I am a woodwind player, and I am learning a brass instrument) I think woodwinds may help dci in getting new members. This might just be a work ethic issue but a lot of woodwind players likely don’t want to learn a whole new instrument to make it in dci. I think if you want more money flowing through drum corps, opening the activity to woodwinds would provide a large boost to dci. Even just allowing woodwind soloists would really help especially with troopers considering all the spaghetti western themes had English Horn in them.

I think it was dci Atlanta, but I saw the white uniform for the first time and it’s really sleek and I like it.

This year was AMAZING. Troop had a great season but there are definitely things to improve on. What do you think the theme will be and song selections? And most importantly, will they bring the 11th Ohio Cavalry uniforms back? Take your guess but only time will tell.
