My vote goes to the Troopers. They deserve a position in the Top !2 again!!

Indianapolis is not exactly a vacation "hot spot." To host the Championship there for ten years is, at best, a risky venture. I believe we will see a dramatic decrease in attendance as the years go by. Fewer and fewer famalies and fans will want to spend their vacations in the same place year after year, drum corps or not. The idea of moving the Championship from year to year was, IMO, the best option.

According to last night's results (7/24) in Murfeesboro, the Cascades are definitely showing signs of improvement having greatly reduced the gap between them and Pioneers. At this point in time, it looks like a 2 way race for last place between the two.

I am also a very big fan of the 1988 BD program. IMO, it was one of the most innovative and entertaining programs coming out of Concord in many years! I loved it!!

RAMD has been reduced to nothing more then a sewer. I hope it never comes to that on DCP. RAMD is a disgrace to the activity!

West is best! With that thought in mind, and with BD leading the pack, I am picking BD as the winner. On the other hand, my all time personal favoorite is still Vanguard. It may be somewhat of a long shot but I am hoping they will pull an upset. Time will tell and very soon!

IMO, last year's (2008) narration was way too much, way, way over done. It was also far too distracting and I HATED it!!

It is conceivable that either Crown or Vanguard, at this point in time, could win the DCI Crown. As far as Troopers are concerned, it is also conceivable they could crack the Top 12. However, regarding the Pioneers, they may be in a position to best the Cascades but they are not even in the same league as the Troopers. Anything beyond that is probably just wishful thinking.

Outside of attending the quarterfinals theater presentation next month, this was one of just a few shows I will be attending this year. The contest, although rather long, was very enjoyable. Although small in numbers, it was great seeing a competitive corps out of Anaheim once again. Congrats to all on a job well done!

This years BD program is a vast improvement over last year. I really got into this year's show. Last year I was disappointed. Enough said.

Hmmmm, let me get this straight. Now that a SOUTHERN corps is in a position to win the Championship, the East wants to claim them as one of their own?

Of course the scores matter to the members. After all, it is a competitive activity.

Judging by recent scores and the spreads between Crown and Cadets, perhaps it may not happen this season.

IMO, Crown has a very good chance to win it all come August 8. Troopers, thus far, have as good a chance as any to crack into the Top 12. Pioneers may or may not finish dead last again, however, I don't see them going up the register by much, it at all. To say they have a chance at making semis is just plain absurd and wishful thinking. But any move up the ladder is a marked improvement for a corps who has been stuck in last place for so many years.

This post is rather amusing. Earlier in the year someone was asking if Crown could ever catch the Cadets. He/she didn't seem to think this was possible. Now, however, the shoe is on the other foot, so to speak. IMO, Crown, at this point in time, is in a position to win it all. Go Crown!!

IMO, the season is far too short as it is. To take a "mid season break" is rather counter productrive to both members and staff. This is especially true when one considers the time, money and effort for an ever shorter season. But that's just my opinion.

Yawn.

Check your crystal ball again. Anything is possible, including Crown beating the Cadets! After all, the Cadets are not Gods nor do they walk on water nor are they invincible!
