OMG Could We Have Been So Young?

Recommended Posts

You need to host them somewhere like Photobucket. As far as going beyond that on the tech side, I'm clueless. :withstupid:

A few months ago, I'd sent a 'how to' which included screen prints in a word document to Commander71. If you know him, he may still have the document. If not, you or donnymusic can send me a personal message via DCP. Include your email and I'll dig out the document to send along :-)

Most welcome.

I'm using IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) for all of my photos. Very small program and my favorite part, it's free...

Opened the photo and just selected "Horizontal Flip" from the "Image" tab and save the photo to the HD...

Someone just sent me some old purple lancers photos on facebook...how would I get them on here? I got some old St Joes 68 VFW in Detroit.

Donny,

I know you've gotten a couple of replies, here's some information if you'd like...

You'd need to first save the photo(s) to your computer and then follow the directions in these links.

On July 1, 1977 Alberta All Girls B performed for the A corps at noon and 5:00 p.m., on the Avenue in front of old City Hall. They were on the 6 o’clock news. The sisters went to Southern Alberta for their first tour and interior British Columbia for second tour. The ‘traveling 4’ were instructors for the A and B corps but when we went across the pond, the little sisters continued with the techs of which many were ex marching members.

The A corps left late evening July 1 1977, refueled in Iceland in the middle of the night while the sun was high; arrived at Gatwick during a baggage handlers strike; 100+ retrieved 4 pieces of luggage each, stacked into one lorry and unpacked in Enfield. The second plane arrived later; horns and drums were delivered minutes before our first performance at Ipswich Spedeworth July 3rd. Performance with a good warm-up and/or rehearsal is highly recommended. A photo I took of Ipswich prior to our field show in the middle of the track.

The A corps had ‘4 traveling’ instructors; Pam and I were co-dms/visual staff; affectionately known as “Perky and Pumpkin”. Michael (Mike) Duffy and Mike (Michael) Whitney were the traveling music staff, also known as “Mike and Mike”, affectionately known as “Whiskers and Sticks”. A photo I took at an early rehearsal in the backyard of the hall on Bramley Road, entitled “Jet Lag Legs”.

After Ipswich, the staff realized every venue may be different. We placed obstacles in the backyard so the girls could practice marching around or over them; wearing low heeled boots also helped; no-one tripped. Marching on cobble stones at Grand Place in Brussels was awesome; one of many very good performances.
