RIP, drum corps I knew

Recommended Posts

50% amped + 50% acoustic = 100% ####. Amplification needed to wait until the technology exists to match the sound quality of the acoustic performance. Were not there yet. Well now we gotta amp the battery, too right?

hhmm....I think the first time I ever heard amplified voice in drum corps was from the 1990 or 1991 DCA Championships. Didn't the Bushwhackers use a battery powered megaphone during their show? And didn't they win DCA that year?

I'm sure some will say I am wrong. Maybe I am but the voice in that show sure does sound amped.

I thought everyone knew about Milli Vanilli.

Now I feel older than I already did.

Don't feel bad, I thought it was a new Ben and Jerry's flavor.

Just kidding, they were the lip sync disaster, right?

I just saw something about them on the tv and getting the Grammy taken away. I think they're trying to make a comeback.

"Fool me once............." Heh.

That would be impressive.

Since one of them is currently dead.

This is why in my experience DCP is considered to be a complete joke to current marching members.

If that’s the prevailing attitude among today corps members, I’ll take my joke money elsewhere. “Do not bite the hand that feeds you.”

Since one of them is currently dead.

And looks to remain so for the forseeable future. :music:
