I don't want to imply that I can't button it up, because I can.

It's just that if I do, I very much resemble a sausage.

I had my corps jacket (I aged out in 1977) dry cleaned several months ago and left it hanging in my bedroom as inspiration to lose weight for the Cavaliers Alumni Corps, since I wanted to wear the jacket again this summer. I'm about to hide the jacket in the back of the closet.

I'll have to duck and run after I say this: I'm very proud of myself because I'm actually in better shape now than I was when I aged out in 88. I'm 20 lbs under my age out weight. (not a healthy weight, so I'm not a rail or anything now) However, just 3 years ago I was 50 lbs over my age out weight, so my "no" vote goes both ways. :guinesssmilie:

I aged out in 1982. My SCV corps jacket still fits, I wore it to Pasadena.

I was 13, 1974, marching SCV 'B' corps when I got my jacket.

The design was sewn using the 'chain loop' instead of a 'back and forth' stitching.

Yes, but probably because I haven't aged out yet.

Yeah, something about tour just helps you maintain your "playing" weight! And DC has this tendency to give the guard more shoulders than the hornline, so you should be in good shape.

Yes....unless I actually try and close it!

haha--i feel yer pain.

Not only does mine NOT fit, but I bought another one about ten years ago and that no longer fits either!!! I'm TWICE the man I used to be.

haha--i feel yer pain, too!

I nearly spat Dr. Pepper everywhere after reading that...

haha--DP, greatest liquid refreshment on the planet devoid of alcohol!

I just put it on, It's short and tight BUT I can get away with wearing it in public.

I aged out at 175 and now I bodybuild and I am 230.

So it got tight on the shoulders and back and not WAIST!

SUPERMAN JACKET!

Ya know, swimming has that tendency, too--except the belly hasn't gone away. Oh well. But having shoulders and pecs is kinda nice.

I have a SkyRyders jacket from 92...never bought one in PR...extra travel expenses to camp ate up all my jacket money.
