Cadets LIVE on Sunday

Recommended Posts

The following info was sent out by the Cadets today. Sounds like a great idea! I don't think it says how long the broadcast will run, but

the price is sure right. Thank you Cadets...hope some other corps pick up on this.

Have you ever wished you were sitting in the middle of the horn arc during a Cadets ensemble rehearsal?

Would you love to hear beyond a 20-second audio clip of the corps playing those extraordinary Frank Ticheli selections for their 2008 program, “…and the pursuit of happiness.”

Or have you imagined what a rehearsal with Brass Caption Supervisor Gino Cipriani is like as he leads and motivates one of the finest hornlines in the world?

The Cadets will bring all this and more to you - up close and personal - on Sunday, April 6th as they present their full ensemble rehearsal through our first-ever edition of LIVE Access.

During this first appearance of the 2008 corps on LIVE Access, the Cadets will offer a glimpse into their world. Streaming live from Springfield High School in Delaware County, Pa. , the corps will share with fans, and the entire activity, ensemble rehearsal during the sixth camp of the season. Fans will simply have to visit the Cadets website at http://www.cadets.org/ and click on the banner which will transport them immediately to the middle of Cadets camp.

The LIVE Access Web cast is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., and will include exclusive interviews with members and staff. Even more exciting, the corps will take you inside the arc so you too can experience the sights, sounds and mood of a Cadets ensemble rehearsal. Some of the pieces that could be heard include the mysterious strains of An American Elegy, a powerful Nitro and Vesuvius, each with varying meters and tempos that challenge the skills of any horn player and percussionist. All these, and a new arrangement titled Round Four, make up nearly the entire Cadets 2008 program.

LIVE Access is the newest view into the world of the Cadets and will be incorporated into ALL Access 08 throughout the upcoming spring training and national summer tour by bringing you LIVE, up-to-the-minute video updates from the road on selected dates. ALL Access will continue to provide Cadets’ fans reports from the road several times per week where you’ll meet the staff and members of the 2008 Cadets and watch as the show is written, rewritten and then perfected just in time for the Championship Finals in Indianapolis.

April 6th will be your chance before any drum corps takes the field this summer to hear and see what the Cadets have been taking on since late December 2007.

“This is something we’ve always wanted to try,” said Cadets Director and Program Coordinator George Hopkins. “Offering a LIVE Access Webcast let’s fans, family and supporters be close to the Cadets, even if they are hundreds or thousands of miles away. We are so excited with how the show is progressing, and through this medium, we are able to share that with you.”

The April 6th LIVE Access will be presented free of charge to give everyone a taste of what’s to come this summer. However, if you want to be one of the first to join the growing number of ALL Access subscribers, now’s a great chance to subscribe for the entire season for the low price of $29. CLICK HERE to become on of the first members of ALL Access 08 nation and you won’t miss a second of the ALL Access episodes and LIVE Access updates from the road this summer.

Anyone from DCP want to meet up on Sunday? I'll be wearing my "Keep Drum Corps Unplugged" T-shirt with the microphone in the red circle with the slash through it on the front.
