Congrats! Glassmen for winning the show in Coon Rapids on Sunday night. I know we just beat the Troopers but what the hey.

Your last first place showing was at Music Under the Stars in Hornell , NY on June 26th 2007

Prior to that we have to go all the way back to July 30th 2002 in Erie, PA for a first place.

We don't get too many of these folks. So lets celebrate (happy dance)!

Once again Way to Go G-men!!!!

BTW Glassmen's very first first place came in Saginaw , MI on June 2, 1973 eight years after the corps was formed. The finale that season was a song called "We Will Never Walk This Way Again" in which Tim Williams played a baritone solo that would make you cry. RIP Tim.

Just watched the vid of this show, and I LOVE it. I was stoked when I heard they were doing some of Pee Wee, and the GMen didn't disappoint. Can't wait to see this in the theater (or maybe live).

I'm sure that anyone who has seen the Gmen at camp, family nite, or at a show has been entertained by the kid on the left of the pit on the trap apparatus.

I've never seen anyone as "in to it" as he is. He is worth the price of a ticket

Now you can get a great closeup of his act by watching the video montage of the Normal Ill show on DCI fan network.

Give me a whole corps of this attitude, what a show that would be!!!

They are gonna rock this year. Old, dried up Robert W. Smith is out and the multi-talented Don Hill, best known for his awesome brass books from Cadets 2002 and 2003, is in! I've only heard the ballad from the show, I won't disclose what the music is since their hasn't been announced yet, but it's just beautiful and something I've wanted to see on the field for a long time. The other pieces they have chosen are both recognizable and fun, and from what I hear the arrangements are spot-on. Can't wait to see these guys!

Just a bit of education for you guys.............before Cadets, there was the Blue Stars. He not only composed music there, but actually taught it!Don Hill(aka........Wolfie)....I think he's going to kill me.His specialty was the baritone line. You are lucky he has mellowed(rumor has it).Wolfie .....before composing was an excellant eduacator also(and am sure still is),but very "hard Corp".Just say you always wanted to be on the "good side" of him.lol.Ask him sometime about "Chop-Suey" and it wasnt the meal. When he taught .......he didnt have music majors, had kids that were picking up a baritone for the first time.He turned us into real horn players after marching a season, some of us didnt even know how to read music. My first year marching with the Blue Stars was a total new experience.........................he could really intimidate you if you were new.By the next year I was used to him.........................up until he put a euphonium in my hands.

When they first came out with the Euphs in the late 70's............................they were beasts to hold up.But thru his motivation I survived carrying one.Wolfie was one of a kind...................so if he is associated with your corps,I am sure you will be there in finals standing next to the Blue Stars and yes they are making finals again!(oops.........forgot no grand finales anymore). He always strived for perfection and had his ways for achieving it.He always gave you this certain look if you made a mistake(that way you knew you werent going to do it again!).

I saw your show at Madison..............all I can say is AWESOME!Good Luck!!!!!
