Does Pioneer draw something Irish out of the bag every year?

No, they refuse to draw from the bag. That's REALLY why they place so low each year - They don't play the game.

Impossible. A Giant Hula Hoop would not fit in the college back pack sized leather pouch prop bag you described. SHENNANIGANS.

The prop bag is like Mary Poppin's carpet bag. You can pull items out of it that are bigger than the bag.

You should have seen Dave Gibbs face when he pulled out the big hula hoop. It reminded me of Sky Ryders pulling out the scaffolding in fall of 1986.

Now THAT'S the spirit...Keep it coming.

And speaking of Spirit, I believe they got the worst Prop Bag draw of all time in 1992 when the guard members all had to wear DD falsies. I saw them during a windy performance, and there were boobs flying all over the field.

Speculation on some others that got pulled?

1997 comes to mind for some reason -

Phantom - a ring. Easy.

Madison - a pirate ship. Also easy.

Cavaliers - a can of soup. They thought it said "Shoop."

Blue Devils - a feather - they gave it to the guard

Cadets - a blue shako

Crossmen - a metronome. They decided to use it at the beginning of Birdland...

Crown - a croquet mallet. What, you thought they came up with that on their own?

Mike
