Phantom 2003 doesnt get recognition?!?!?

Phantom 2003 is one of the most overrated shows IMO.

My criteria here would be shows that DID NOT make finals but that I really enjoyed and looked forward to seeing on tour night after night.

I've got four favorite underdog shows......in reverse order -

Honorable Mention - 1992 Glassmen

Bronze - 2000 Southwind

Silver - 1987 Florida Wave

Gold - 1982 Defenders

1995 Santa Clara Vanguard

1975 General Butler Vagabonds

2007 Spirit

2008 Bluecoats

I could add about 20 more but that will suffice.

1978 North Star- Power drum corps on par with Madison

1980- Santa Clara Vanguard- Asymetrical drill in 1980 WTF!

1980- Bridgemen Drums!

1983 -Suncoast Sound- What a great show

1985 + 1986 Les Eclipses ( 14th place so close )

1988 -Blue Devils ( I don't know if they under rated but they were very entertaining)

1991+ 1990-Academie Musicale- The blue print for Star of Indiana 93

1992- Cadets -To Tame the Perilous Skies!

1993- Phantom, Blue Devils and Cavaliers, three great shows

2005 -Blue Devil- So what they said YOWZA! they marched and played with complexity

2008- Blue Knights- Nobody does what BK does. So much demand on the marching member.

2008 -Cadets- crown had a more fan friendly show. Cadets were a better corps.

Personal request, but many other would appreciate this if others obliged.

I have a list on my computer of all the finalist shows and I've got all the program book stuff I've written, so I can easily look these things up. Still, after many years of drum corps, years blend together, but show titles and repertoires instantly bring recognition.

My request is: Please, don't just list a corps and a year. List the corps and the year and include the show title and (if possible) the repertoire. That way, more people will know what shows are being discussed.
