rmurrey74
Holy Guard staff. no pun intended. is 12 really necessary..? Other than 4 consultants that probably won't be on tour that much, I think it looks normal.
kevingamin
Holy Guard staff. no pun intended. is 12 really necessary..? You're assuming they're all there at the same time. Some will only work winter camps, some will be there for the part of the summer, some will be full-time from November all the way through August. Clearly they're not going to have 4 consultants on tour. Even so - so many different teaching styles and philosophies detracts from a uniform technique and execution framework. If 12 cooks all throw something into the soup, chances are it wont taste as good as just a couple. Speaking from a percussion state of mind, i dont know much bout guard. KeithHall
So is this the new old name? Are they now using that instead of Cadets?
MikeD
So is this the new old name? Are they now using that instead of Cadets? For the 75th anniversary year...they are going back to "Holy Name".

I am guessing that some are weapons folks, some flag, some movement, etc...so they are not all teaching the same part of "guard".
Jofus
It's good to that there are many familiar faces on the staff, along with some new ones. Looks like the percussion staff is stacked as usual. Jake Gall, the center snare from last year, will do a fine job on staff. He was a great section leader. I'm sad to see that Stan Moore isn't coming back, but James Sparling will do great with the quads. Other than the percussion caption head change, it looks like most of the same people will be instructing the corps next summer. Go Holy Name! Perry S
I'm sure Emma Roberts will be able to keep the gaurd staff all on the same page. If she does her job she will be "The Philosophy" that will be followed along with what George adds
