Lance
how about some zorro ballad? (seriously)end rant One of the few Horner pieces I've ever liked. The solo piano version is nice, too.
crown fan
CROWN - they've been playing "extra tunes" lately, no?Boogie Wonderland Earth, Wind and Fire medley Sweet Deck the Halls, I think they played it in San Antonio, and Bristol, RI
JonnyMo
o/t kind ofi saw them play this at their home show last summer or maybe two summers ago, and it was the most square, geeky thing i have ever seen. performances like this are why the "band geek" stereotype exists. eh, I'd say the Band-geek stereotype exist because of corps who play dirges during parades (or maybe the band-geek stereotype exists because of...well maching bands at footbal games?...Just a thought)...as opposed to say an Earth Wind an Fire pieces that more "normal" people would know and could dance to. I know at the Bristol 4th or July parade, those good old Earth Wind and Fire Tunes always seem to get an awesome crowd responce. Which his really what it's all about. chaos001
agree 100%. I love me some Bacchanale. this is the ONLY piece that I think Regiment needs to get off the shelf and rehash. it'd be baby-throwin' fantastic!

MelloFanatic09
It'd be pretty cool is Phantom did Bachannale or Finale from New World. Personally, even though I AM a bit partial... I really enjoy Spirit playing Georgia and Let it Be Me. I don't know if Cadets usually do it, but this past summer was my first time seeing one of their encores, and I really liked when they did several selections from previous years including stuff from their '95 show. Really great encore performance.

FTNK
Playing extra tunes CAN be taken overboard (maybe ill tell that story later) Nick, could you possibly be alluding to the 4 page long big band-style arrangement of "Can't Buy Me Love" that they initially wanted us to do in 2006? euphononium
It'd be pretty cool is Phantom did Bachannale or Finale from New World. They played the Finale from New World in 2006 as an encore piece. They almost always do Elsa's. I know for a while, they did little snippits of older repertoires after an exercise--Canon, Bachannale, Serenade for Strings, etc... I think they do the best encores. Usually they're the most prepared and well thought out encore pieces all summer long. There are some good vids of everyone's encores on the site that shall not be named... MelloFanatic09
Oh, I didnt' know they did Finale in '06. I only went to two shows that year I think. Yeah, Phantom does a pretty sweet encore. I think I'd love pretty much any song they whip out.
