I don't recall hearing it at all... maybe some chords sounded similar, but i wouldn't say it would be enough to be a quote to simple gifts. In their 2007 show, there's a motif of the ballad in the opener. This isn't really a quote, but The Cadets 2006 opening sequence is the same as the end of their 2005 show. Common in the case of multiple shows with the same general theme....Crossmen did it with their trilogy in the 90s...Renegades in 04-05 as well, quoting 03 a lot.
