The downside to having it on synth is when the amp goes out. It's just NOTHING! Watch the Columbia SC VOD for the downside to using the synth there. I agree that it is one of the most tasteful uses of synth this year, however, I think the quiet effect will be diminished by some idiot yelling during Finals.
