You love it ... it's a joke ... it's for fun ... because you still hold hope that its pathetic premise has resonance beyond a core bunch of complainers on DCP. actually...anything done this well that brilliantly satirizes drum corps i'd laugh at. Thebeauty of this is it shows how so seriously people take all this.

Hey, I expected the "lighten up Francis" response and posted my thoughts anyway. Some of you chose to comment on the humor. I chose to comment on another aspect without regard to the humor (which I admit). Agree or don't. But don't suggest my interpretation is illegitimate.

I have listened to tapes of when I marched the early 70's and it was painful and something I would never want to go back to, however, there is nothing wrong with what has been produced in modern times without electrical devices.

I think that the video was pretty disrespectful. Hopkins was simply trying to innovate, make drum corps better, and expand the possibilities of it. I have no problem with that.
