crazymello
holy crap on a stick! YES! And no doubt they'll PLAY rhapsody in blue instead of kind of hinting at it all show and then playing 30 seconds at the end of the show

NR_Ohiobando
Assuming they're just playing the music, this would be the first show in a LONG while that doesn't have a theme or title. I'm on board and I sure hope everyone else is! GO SCOUTS!!! Wish I could try out this year. Next year we'll see...

Galen
Fun fact- last time Scouts played both of these pieces together: 1975. Just sayin' Nice to take a little hiatus from all the Latin stuff.

DrinkinOuttaCups
Really, this is pretty exciting. "Rhapsody in Blue" is basically the piece that got me interested in music in the first place (back when I was primarily a piano player). I really, really hope Jim Prime does a good job with it. I'm not doubting that he will, but I'm what you'd call a "purist" when it comes to that piece. I have really, really high expectations for it. Like I said, I'm mostly sure that Jim will do a good job with it, but until I actually hear it, I'll have my doubts.
