StarOrg
Well it had to end. After 7 show wins to kick off the season both Jupiter and Cross took a scoring nose dive. Hawaii also took the plunge last night. With more changes coming we could see more backwards movement. Hopefully we get it in and turned around before Regionals. CitBos
I am happy to annouce that Feenicks have finally broken 70, with a score of 73.460 last night in Saskatoon, SK. because of the (roughly) 3 point jump in score, Feenicks is now ranked 20th for World Class. I am very happy with how well the marching members are doing. Kepp up the good work, everyone!
Galen
While we wait for tonight's scores, here's a look at this Saturday's Sweepstakes events: Orono ME, home show of The Knights for the last 2 seasons, one of the largest venues in New England and recently resurfaced. Kalamazoo MI's Waldo Stadium. A frequent stop for DCI and DCPI corps alike: Appalachian State University's Kidd Brewer Stadium, tucked deep in the heart of western North Carolina: And Calgary's McMahon Stadium, a former Winter Olympic venue: After the first event, there were several corps tied atop the Sweepstakes standings. This weekend's event may help sort things out- or they may make them even closer.
Galen
Lots of corps jostled for position in this weekend's Sweepstakes events, and there are now some very tight races atop the standings. Now it's on to Regionals, where the regional championships will be decided in 6 short days. Western corps start their long march toward Dallas with a show in Casper WY at Natrona HS: In the south, corps visit the Atlanta area with a stop at Lassiter HS in Marietta: East-coast corps swing south through New England with a visit to the Boston Crusaders' recent home show venue in Lawrence MA: And midwest corps pay a visit to the gem of northern Indiana, Michigan City's Ames Field:
ftwdrummer
Relatively good night for the Zephyrs tonight...we're starting to get some of our design issues back on track, mostly on the musical side. Our visual designer's conception for Mass is fairly...eccentric isn't a good word, but definitely not standard. It may not score well strictly in execution terms, but we expect to see it helping our effect scores greatly in the next few weeks.
