cabalumnidrummer
Did anyone mention Florida Wave's unusual 'tenors,' for their percussion feature, circa 2000? They were actually different-sized plastic picnic coolers, turned upside-down. I don't remember if they were triples or quads, but it was a cute/unique look and sound. They may have also had a metal barbecue grill out there in the pit!

Vic might remember, he was marching with them at the time.

Fran Haring
Does this count" ... LOL1980 DCA Prelims - Sunrisers' "SHACKER" sign. (in between the 45/50 yrd line leaning against the chair) Direct link: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y279/Sund...elims_NAMES.jpg Ah yes.... the Schacker sign. IMO, one of the all-time great Sunriser stories... a total "inside joke" for the corps during the 1980 season. I am proud (appalled? LOL) to have been part of the.... uhhhhhh.... "Schacker sign committee" that tracked down the first one that summer. Fran
Fran Haring
Empire Statesmen, 1993. King Rex. Of all the great/outrageous props the Statesmen have used over the years, this one tops my list. Fran
