garfield
Drum and Brass/Woodwind corps. I actually like the sound of that. Bring on the woodwinds. I don't see a clarinet in your sig pic...
Scoutnout
Seriously, I'd probably not have a great problem with renaming it Drum and Brass Corps. Except a bunch of plumbers would show up for a convention. Bugle is a little more clear, I think. to hard to get a good plumber
Scoutnout
WHAT !!!! We dont have "marching" out there on the field.... I believe a company front would be considered marching...are you discfribing the early years of DCI...? There is definately maneuvering out there.... like you trying to justify this point... any "pass-thru" you may have seen or done WAS Maneuvering... sorry MArching as it was inteded to be? NO we dont. manuvers as it was intended to be as in squards. flanks etc etc. NO we dont, MAching as it was 30 or 40 years ago NO...did it evolve into movement, staging, ahha

SPINCYCLE
I remember the uproar when the high leg lift was mostly a thing of the past. WOW, some comments were " they can't march thats why they do that" " Thats not drum corps anymore" funny
markdewine
Scoutnout- He didn't say piccolo.....he said piccolo soprano. It's a brass instrument! Do your homework, mr. know-it-all.
GUARDLING
Also funny how most ( Younger ) dont refer to Drum Corps as Drum and BUGLE corps either
markdewine
Guardling- MOST people in the activity call it drum corps, and HAVE called it drum corps for the last 50-60 yrs. Almost no one calls it drum & bugle corps.
