garfield's_kid
Here's my top five: 5. 2008 Bluecoats An almost perfect imitation of Rocky. (The show inspired me to watch the movie) 4. 1989 Santa Clara Vanguard Just an A+ show 3. 2008 Carolina Crown It was the perfect idea for a DCI show 2. 2000 Cadets The drum solo was like a battle between the snares and tenors (I can be better than you!) 1. 2008 Phantom Regiment I AM SPARTACUS!!!!! musclebud
Bridgemen - 1978. Great comeback after being disqualified the year before. 27th Lancers - 1981. The ultimate classic drum corps show. Cadets - 1984 - Cemented the new direction of motion and musicality. Phantom Regiment - 1989. Sorry SCV, but this show was simply better. Wish PR would do this one again. Star of Indiana - 1993. Nothing like this was done before or since. It is appreciated more and more with every viewing. Jaw-dropping. That's my opinion and I am sticking to it! At least for a few minutes. Good point on '5' Thr first "DCI Classic Countdown" back in (?) 2004 sort of answered the question - IIRC winner was 1989 SCV
