BlooContraGuy
Bluecoats have 7 snare vets. That's gotta account for something right?
Phantombari1
Went with BD, 99% of the time, not counting last year, the top corps only have a shot at the drum title. Cavies also have a shot.
Pipifer
Wow. really? So the entire Phantom line this year will be new to Rockford? How many is every single one? Everyone who didn't age out from the 2010 Phantom pit and battery followed the Rennicks to SCV. It's a fact. drumno5
spiritofboston posted: SCV has paul now, along with all the phantom vets from last years 1st place drumline and jplattSCV asked: Are there actually a bunch of Phantom vets that have headed out west with Paul? Or is it just speculation...? BozzlyB replied, quite definitively: Not just a bunch. Every. Single. One. and then jplattSCV asked: Wow. really? ... How many is every single one? BozzlyB replied; Before I say anything else let me say that all of my info is from the numerous statements in the Shane Gwaltney thread to the effect that every single one means every single one. So really, we have no idea how many Phantom drummers have gone to SCV with Paul R.& Co., except for what folks have posted on the Shane Gwaltney thread. And when I asked over on the SG thread whether anyone could confirm their sources, no one replied. Maybe PR's whole line has indeed gone west with Rennick, or maybe not. But a bunch of random postings on an off-season DCP thread can hardly be considered bullet-proof information. Regarding the original question (who will win drums), it's way too early to call. As many an old sports writer has said, that's why they play the games! Hoping 2011 will be an interesting and competitive season, Fred O. noneofyourbusiness
Just for fun doing the "off season" Things to consider: Blue coats had a high vet return rate this year SCV has paul now, along with all the phantom vets from last years 1st place drumline Boston has Ellis now, who in recent years had been working with Phantom's line Invalid poll. Does not include all of the possible lines. Doesn't even include the line that beat both Boston and SCV and has its multiple-World Championship winning staff returning: Blue Stars.
Afort1
PR's Battery portion of the Percussion section all went to SCV or at least auditioned there. Blue Stars did get bet by BAC Semi's so it's not like they were beating them all season...
JamesDean
I really like the direction the bluecoats have headed in drums. They are clean, and always entertaining. If there are a lot of veterans returning then it will be a tough group to beat.
wackywords
whoever scores highest at finals do you mean finals night? or week? because the drum scores are averaged from all 3 nights.
TrumpetVinny
I know that Phantom's tenor line had no vets return. I'm not sure about anything else. I voted SCV but I'd like Bloo to do it.
Jeff Ream
do you mean finals night? or week? because the drum scores are averaged from all 3 nights. oh thats right we cant actually pick a winner. I mean why dont we just do overall placements that way...or will it prove slotting Edited January 18, 2011 by Jeff Ream
