AlexL
Not surprised. Unfortunately its not the only venue thats extremely partial like that... Naperville, IL comes to mind. Wont give a reaction for anything and then go nuts for cavies.

rkfdPRphan
Traditional look and setup. Opening horn an guard member chase is interesting. No other real movement. Much more movement than Madison but not as much horn volume. Guard gets lost with dark flags and unis. Drums? Outstanding! Crisp sound and movement in unison. Horns aren't very loud but seem to be playing lots of music. Single horn players running the field is annoying. Lots of playing well but little marching Drum spread over 80% of field and still play loud and crisp. Batton twirling is interesting. If that is what the apparatus is. More insane drumming. Music getting louder. Flag spins while guard is lying down. Still not much marching. Slow program. IMO Throwing flags and falling down guard at the end. Not sure what to think. BigBadMadMan
I'm not making excuses for anyone because I can remember the east coast shows being very partial as well, BUT this show is running pretty late on a Wednesday night. Most won't get home until 11-11:30 or so. Late for a work night. Edited July 14, 2011 by BigBadMadMan
DrinkinOuttaCups
Unfortunately its not the only venue thats extremely partial like that... Naperville, IL comes to mind. Wont give a reaction for anything and then go nuts for cavies. It's not even limited to just drum corps. Almost any marching band competition/high school band festival or whatever, there's always that group of people (usually band parents) that only show even the slightest hint of emotion when their baby boy/girl is out there. It's such a shame. Speaking of which, I feel bad for all the people who are missing out on SCV's show. IMO, it's not a show worth missing. This is a pretty late show and I can remember stands quite frequently clearing out the later the night went on at some shows.

IMO Not much marching and slow program? DId SCV skip this show tonight? Cause last time I was watching them, they were sprinting the entire show, and marching pretty much the whole time, minus a few halts....
