audiodave
Ooooooh Dindi is another good one.BTW, BDLegend, I have to thank you and your compatriots. You gave me my first corpsgasm at Warhawk Stadium - Whitewater in 1978. I sat 2nd row 50 yard line during prelims. I knew right then that I was going to be a lifer. BamRam Yah....me too BDLegend. I got mine when sitting in the school cafeteria in Birmingham, and Our Instructors sat the whole Corps down and we listened to State of the Art over the PA system. THATS when I knew I was a Lifer. I just kept saying to myself... we can play music like this with bugles? It was just too cool for 1980, and to me is still a legendary show. Devils.....I love those guys. Cop
I saw the Great Gates SCV 1986 listed a few times. Go back and play your DVD/Video with the sound off. I want to see if you'all will still pick this as an all time great. I can't stay awake as the horn arc SLOWLY moves toward the front side line, SLOWLY bending at a snails pace as the color guard SLOWLY moves in two lines. This is not artistic as was 84's slow closer. This is just bad visual as was the entire SCV 86 visual show. (The horn book was great and powerful.)
Jared_mello
What is exactly happening at the end of BD '88, never watched the show (amazing to listen to, though). It sounds like theres a fake ending, and then some great solos after the corps comes back in, and after the last sop bends his pitch to that last note, the bass drum starts tapping off almost right away....
