The proof is the banners at all the shows alongside FJM and Innovative Percussion and the like, they pay dci for that space, as a sponsorship besides thanking them as the end of the show, its real

That's not proof!  Try again

Check the dci program book lately where they thank their sponsor the Marines. They didn't sponsor Dan's citizenship not trying to be his guardian. Sponsorship means they gave money.

Not true, sometimes sponsorship is association without any funding exchanging hands.  I could have sworn the Marines have Drum Corps and DCI is a Drum Corps organization...Nice try, proof please.

A direct response. Not a misdirect. If you read the reporting you will see how DCI has been portrayed. Contrast that with YEA/Cadets.

no offense, but the press has hardly given DCI a pass. However, the main issue with YEA is because their executive director was accused of being a serial rapist and had a rubber stamp board that was going to whitewash any investigations, and did everything they could to give said ED a soft landing when he "resigned". YEA pre-new board deserves every bash they've gotten

It's also still likely DCI funds all or part of their performance in some way, as DoD requires that Armed Forces participation come at no additional cost to the Government for community-relations events, and given Indy is not within their local area.

Without needing a warrant to purview DoD records and DCI paylist, ask someone associated with Bloo's admin as Bloo listed them as a sponsor for all Bloo's shows this year.  Perhaps the words sponsorship and endorsement have been intermingled? perhaps not? (to use Guardling "logic.") Via Annapolis and USBands, Marine Corps sponsorship sometimes means that they make the phonecall authorizing stadium gates to be opened for other marching units to use the field.

Were Marine Corps also at Michigan City this year or another drum corps show?

I do not believe I suggested anything different (re Old YEA Board). I am not suggesting the press has given DCI a pass. On the contrary. And that is because of how they have mishandled the press on these recent issues.

Are you suggesting YEA did not have lawyers?

Has BD actually given it back yet or are they waiting for some special P.R. moment? (no, not Phantom Regiment.)
