soccerguy315
i don't know anything about guard... so I will just say that I really love unison tosses, especially in silence and the rest of corps comes in at FFFFFF on the catch. It's awesome every time.
DrumManTx
As far as the older stuff goes, I'd say 27th. From around 94 or when drum corps started shifting into it's modern times, BD's weapon line (and whole guard for that matter) seems to be consistently awesome. I guess this coming from a drummer though.
Jocko the Wonder Llama
Another vote for 27.
madalumni
Madison's 81-83 lines were also pretty amazing....and they won High Guard in 83 if my memory serves me correctly. But 81 is the one that stands out to me. Such a crisp, powerful line that had major attitude and swagger!
Cop
Lots of Scouts years to choose from...
Cop
Madison's 81-83 lines were also pretty amazing....and they won High Guard in 83 if my memory serves me correctly. But 81 is the one that stands out to me. Such a crisp, powerful line that had major attitude and swagger! To add more evidence to this, State Street Review was winning Best Rifle Line, with many many of the same members during the winter and marching summers with Scouts. Anyone can hit PLAY on Scouts 1981 for a schooling! Edited March 16, 2012 by Cop

LoveKathyG
I'm a little baffled with this thread. I marched in one of those olde timey guards...and proud as I am of the work we did, I have to tell you... At no point in my life could I have done the equipment, dance or body movement work that today's top guards do. Period. There is no doubt about that.
Kevin Doherty
LoveKathy. There is no doubt in my mind that 1980 2-7 was doing as much or more than today's best auxs. In jest I guess you were a klutz, but I'm sure you weren't. No one in this thread is wrong. We do get used to scoring and judging, and we he have our favorites. Why not? However I also like analytical thinking and Brasso hit it right on the head. I'm still with him 100%, but I don't intend to change anyone's mind. Enjoy what you enjoy and don't let anyone take that from you. I did mean my earlier comment as a joke and I hope you take it that way.
