contrajedi8
Just listened to 1992 SCV. One of my all-time favorite shows. Just curious about some instances of singing in drum corps. Who? When? Like it? Hate it? And I'm not really asking abut amplified voice in the case of 2004 Crown.
84BDsop
Are you talking legal singing? That would be 84 (the first year vocalizing on field was allowed by the corps proper). 85 Freelancers is a good example. ILLegal?? Probably the infamous "Amen" that they dropped at finals or face a 1 point penalty (71??)
contraBand
I thought 2008 Bluecoats with The Boxer was neat, and Boston's pre-show this last year as well.

Yep, my first two that came to mind are 84 Cadets and 08 Bluecoats. The brass attack after the singing in 84 was what really made that moment a great "set-up." That's some breathe-dah right there. Mrfunkyoyo
Boston Crusaders 2002- "You Are My Star" Touching show. It was the first season after 9/11. Personally, the video of the members tearing up at the end really hit home with me.

Kevin Doherty
I think the Cadets did a vocal Amen some time in the mid seventies that cost them some points. Historians wade in. IMO there is no good singing in DC, it is all god-awful and should be avoided. Kevin

The Cadets took a hit but I guess they figured...."Aughhh what the hell".
Jeffe77
Cavaliers 94. They sing to start the IV Mvt of their show (Church Windows) and 93 Madison Scouts to start the drum feature in Strawberry Soup Edited March 16, 2012 by Jeffe77
