Huntington Mallets
Santa Clara Vanguard 2008 "Eclipse" - incredibly under-rated and under-scored line, IMO; awesome battery work in the exotic Indian piece in the show. YES!!!!! I remember seeing a few of the tenors on that line perform this drum break with Murray Gusseck and Colin McNutt at a PASIC clinic in 2008. That ending lick was so great they did an encore of the entire thing. One of the best jam sessions I have heard in my time listening to music. Seriously. Kamarag
Any list that leaves off 1984 SCV isn't a percussion list, it's just a drum list. And yea, there's a difference.

flammaster
I have to add VK 1989 and their quads using bass drums. They beat BD and SCV at their home show in percussion one night!

84BDsop
Any list that leaves off 1984 SCV isn't a percussion list, it's just a drum list. And yea, there's a difference. When we first heard it in the lot, we thought it was a warmup exercise, not an actual part of the show. Took a while to appreciate it...definitely one of Ralph's ballsiest works, considering every OTHER solo was a note-rammer.
