Madison Mayhem - 6/22

Some first half thoughts, keeping in mind this is my first viewing of these corps:

Racine Scouts

They are really small again. No snares. They played some recognizable music but not in tune. Played half show in concert formation Cheer them for trying!

Colt Cadets:

Large corps. Well practiced. Full show. Need some work, of couse it is early. The pit is great. The DM was super character in blue. Head to toe. Entire cymbal line super characters. Red. Yellow. Green. Orange. Must have been hard to see in those suits. Good show.

Pioneer:

Just took off from last year. Lots of drums. They need many more horns. Good show but needs lots of practice. Just good to see so many members.

Troopers;

Good brass. Drums need more work. Please help the color guard. Maybe they just had an off night??? Good overall sound. Clean it up!

Glassmen:

One word. LOUD! Needs lots of guard work too. Watched rifles fall over and over. Otherwise good show with practice and cleaning.

Blue Star.

Electronic glitches before show. Color! Give me guard color! Spacing needs work. Sailor posing on pier is interesting. Hard to spin anchor prop. Good pit work. Horns still running into each other. Good brass sound when standing still. Costume change helps guard. Harpoons used by male guards hard to see. Formations of horns need work. Spacing problems. BIG pileup of contras. Everyone got up and finished. Ouch!!!
