"Hey judges, what does our show need to score higher?" "MORE STUFF" "uhh... more what?" "MORE OF IT!" "like more variety?" "YES" "but... what if it doesn't make much musical sense?" "IT'S LIKE A COLLAGE. WE JUDGES LOVE COLLAGES BECAUSE OF THE VARIETY. MORE VARIETY = BETTER SCORES" "um... will we score higher?" "PROBABLY" "Okay, guys, you heard him. Whenever we're standing still we need to do fake dancing with our feets; we need a short spoken quote related to the theme whenever there's an awkward cadence, and we need some sound effects thrown about during an otherwise digestible percussion feature." It's not just Spirit who is guilty of this; most corps nowadays do this and it's just annoying to see so often. I guess you could say I need more variety between corps programs. hah. Music is starting to make more sense to me. No my favorite music book, but there are some excellent moments. Visually I think there is a lot of GE here.
