Kamarag
The streams are up. They are still working out video and audio levels, but the streams are live. I'm watching the high bandwidth multi-cam version. Edited July 28, 2012 by Kamarag

IMcomguy
The word "entertaining" is not found anywhere on any sheet. Yes, you are correct. But let me give you some things that ARE on the sheet. http://www.dci.org/news/view.cfm?news_id=5bc74534-fd5c-43c6-a28d-78c928fdd00a - Audience Engagement - Performers Engage the Audience - Precision with Respect to Challenge - Simultaneous Responsibilities - Precision of Content with respect to Challenge (specifically in the brass criterion) The rest above the last one are scattered nearly EVERYWHERE throughout the captions. I long for the time that we aren't influenced by WGI as we are today. The fact that at any given time we can have up to 4 color guard judges on the field judging a variety of captions is asinine to speak it lightly. And it is pretty obvious we are still seeing judges use criterion from previous sheets and ignoring 4 of the 5 new rubric criteria I listed above pretty consistently. But that's ok, lets all just keep fooling ourselves into thinking the sheets changed everything this season.

What people need to understand is that the sheets were changed to reward audience engagement. There are many different types of audience engagement, and you can engage the audience without making them "throw babies". Some great examples of this from world of film are Schindler's List, The Piano, Philadelphia, and many, many others. Entertaining? No. Engaging? Absolutely. Not every show needs to be the same kind of engagement. Now, we can argue over whether DCI should have included entertainment value on the sheets (I'd be in favor of it), but you cannot insert something that isn't there.
