kickhaltsforlife
I really don't count the counting as narration. It is a part of the music.
Hrothgar15
I really don't count the counting as narration. It is a part of the music. Neither do I with the voice in the intro. The effect is actually quite spectacular live.

I've seen this piece used in WTG MANY times, but never knew the name. Its "Knee 5" from Einstein on the Beach by Phillip Glass. Crown also uses music from the Abyss in this section of the show. flammaster
So what brand of horn do they use anyway? They get so much more sound than anyone else it's like G bugles all over again. (for those of you young folks see them live. That is how loud drum corps used to be)

(for those of you young folks see them live. That is how loud drum corps used to be) Yamaha. Same as Cadets, Cavies, SCV, and a bunch of others. Maybe it's really not the horns, but the instruction and the people behind them....

Geoff
Crown is scheduled to rehearse in Vegas on Monday. We are expecting a major heatwave with a scheduled high of 115F. I hope they are prepared for that. It's going to be brutal! I posted this on their Facebook page, so I hope someone from admin sees it and starts planning.
