Keep in mind that John DeNovi has been in East Asia for the past few weeks, so an international partnership is likely the subject of the announcement. The announcement will be: A battle between the US G7 corps and sovereign drum corps around the world in order to determine the Global Drum Corps Champion. US DCI corps 8 and below will not be involved. DCI is announcing the battle, but will provide no financial or logistical support and will not share in any revenues derived there-from. Chief Judge for the event, Mr. Daniel Ray, is volunteering his time away from saving the country of Lithuania in order to ensure fairness and the proper flow of funds from the event into two, wholly-owned subsidiaries of the G7 (in partnership with his own firm, of course). In other news, DCI has announced the addition of two local TEP's willing to host a drum corps show in the US. Initial attendance at these two, new events is expected to be approximately 1000 combined. While Mr. Ray was quoted saying "We vill crush ze competition, and establish our global dominance of drum corps!", Mr. Dan Acheson of the US's DCI told reporters "We'll have two really nice new shows on our tour." 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
