They need to be with the Cadets, and Crown, and Phantom, etc. This cannot be motivating competition for them. It's hard to like Madison when I keep reading comments like this. Honestly, I think tonight's scores are pretty nuts and that spread should be open a little farther, but it's pretty insulting to the Blue Stars, Crossmen, Troopers, and Colts to have them defined as lower tier BORING competition to Madison. I'm pretty sure that the Madison MMs do not think that way, at all and have A LOT more respect for their competition than you seem to. I know that not NEARLY all the fans are like this, and I seriously think it's only like .000001% that make these kinds of demeaning grotesque posts, but that's all it can take to #### off a person. Don't we get mad at the TOC corps thinking they're in an upper tier above Madison, Boston, ect? Kinda eating your own words if you ask me. Let's all calm the freak down and not put much though into scores as Mr. Brasso stated until Minneapolis. AlexL Posted July 2, 2013 Share Posted July 2, 2013 (edited) I tried to calm the natives earlier this week that there will be volatility when some shows have 5 judges, others have 8, and the captions judged are weighted differently as a result. Tonite's show had 8 judges by the way. This is Spring Training for both judges, staffs and MM's alike. Minny regionals begins the real season. In the meantime , my suggestion is for everybody to relax and just enjoy the shows that each corps is putting out. Not to mention that quite often scores early on tend to parallel the end of the prior year until the judges get some views and then often you can see some radical movement. See: blue stars 08 where they were starting out the season ranked as low as 14th place and getting beaten by colts. Early july and into the first regional is when things get more interesting. Scores this early are so unimportant to me, that I glanced quickly and did not notice 2 tiers ( World Class, All Age ) and counted some judges as a result twice. But I went back and looked again, and you are correct it was a partial panel tonite of 5 judges, not 8.
